Hopes For This Week

This week I will read Lone Eagle by Danielle Steel, and Death Note vol 3: Hard Run

Other Bookish Things

This year my goal is to read 100 books. That breaks down to 2 books a week, or 8 books a month. By the time this week is over I will have read 10 books in January. Which puts me 2 books ahead of the game. I’m hoping to increase this lead by a few more because I hope to read some hefty books this year that will take me longer to get through. That lead will come in handy when I crack those!

Thanks for reading!

Last Week In Review

I missed last Monday’s post, so this is actually what I read the last two weeks.

I finished The Hollow by Nora Roberts, Death Note Vol. 1: Boredom by Tsugumi Ohba, and The Pagan Stone by Nora Roberts.

Hopes For This Week

This week I’m still reading Writer With a Day Job by Aine Greaney. I’m also going to start reading Death Note Vol. 2: Confluence by Tsugumi Ohba, and Room by Emma Donoghue.

Other Bookish Things

I really need to appologize for missing last Monday’s post. I was sick and just didn’t have the energy to write this up. But I’m feeling better now and ready to get back at it!

Thanks for reading!

Last Week In Review

Last week I read my first three books of the year. I started off with something fun by reading Jim Henson’s Labyrinth: Coronation. A graphic novel trillogy, I pollished off all three during my time off work.

I also started reading The Hollow by Nora Roberts, and Writer with a Day Job by Aine Greaney.

Hopes For This Week

This week I plan to finish The Hollow and start the third book in the Sign of Seven trillogy, The Pagan Stone. I’m going to take my time reading Writer with a Day Job. That one is the kind of book I want to study so I can internalize any useful tips it might have. I probably won’t finish that one this week.

Other Bookish Things

I bought another book sleeve…

I might have an addiction to book accessories! My sister-in-law also gave me one of those thumb things that help to hold the book open. It’s pretty neat. I can see myself using it for the smallish paperbacks I read. I probably won’t get much use out of it for big hefty reads though. Those ones are way to heavy to hold in one hand!

What sort of book accessories do you guys love?

Thanks for reading!

Last Week In Review

I finally finished Inkdeath!

This was a re-read for me. I actually listened to it via audiobook this time around. This pic is of my rabbit chewed hard copy.

I also finished Blood Brothers, the first book if The Sign of Seven trilogy by Nora Roberts.

Hopes For This Week

I have this whole week off from work! I’m going to read all the things! In particular, The Hollow (book two of the Sign of Seven trilogy) by Nora Roberts, The Pagan Stone (book three of the Sign of Seven trilogy) by Nora Roberts, and Jim Henson’s Labyrinth: Coronation vol 1.

I’m really looking forward to Jim Henson’s Labyrinth: Coronation. It’s a graphic novel series that tells the Goblin King’s origin story.

Other Bookish Things

Coffee and a Good Book’s read-a-thon starts today. I am kicking off the start of my time off by joining in. You can find the details here.

Thanks for reading!

Last Week In Review

I still haven’t finished Inkdeath by Cornelia Funke. I am still finding it tough to find any significant time to read during these last few days before Christmas. But last week I did finish reading The Dream Gatherer. This is a spin off novella for the Green Rider series.

I also finished The Consequences. This was one my Mom-in-law lent me. It was a neat little Christmas read.

Hopes For This Week

This week I hope to actually finish Inkdeath. I also started Blood Brothers by Nora Roberts and hope to finish that too.

Other Bookish Things

It’s going to be a busy week. I will be working on the 23rd, 24th, and 27th. After work on Christmas Eve my dad is hosting celebrations. I am helping him with food and games. My little brother and his family will be over and so will my uncle. Then Christmas day my hubby and I will head over to his parents place where we will be joining them and his brother and his wife for the evening. I’m not sure how I will find time to read. But I’m going to try!

I took the following week off work and I’m thinking about joining in Coffee and a Good Book’s reading-a-thon. You can find the details here.

Thanks for reading!
